Teaching at USC
I've been teaching creative coding at USC since 2020, where I'm an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Media Arts + Practice division of the School of Cinematic Arts. My classes range from a first introduction to programming for the web to advanced creative coding:
IML300: Introduction to Creative Web Programming
IML400: Advanced Creative Coding for the Web
In 2021 and 2022, my students and I turned their final projects into virtual exhibitions on New Art City.
Qtv: p5.js Tutorials in Mandarin
As a 2019 Processing Foundation Fellow, I created Qtv, a channel of one-minute p5.js tutorials in Mandarin, to make creative coding education more accessible in China. It all started with trying to teach coding to my mom, who lives in China and doesn't speak English. Watch on Bilibili, YouTube, or Instagram.
